A Night to Remember: Women’s Opening Dinner Kicks Off Centennial Season in Style
Last night, over 90 women packed the clubhouse for our biggest Women’s Opening Dinner yet—and wow, did we make it count. It was a room buzzing with hugs, laughter, and the sound of Saugeen Golf Club friendships being rekindled after a long winter.
From Tuesday League to Wednesday Night players and everyone in between, it was a beautiful reminder of what makes our women’s golf community so special: connection, camaraderie, and that shared excitement for the season ahead. Watching longtime members swap stories and first-timers find their tables (and their people) was honestly the kind of energy every golf club should aspire to.
I had the chance to meet many of you—and if we didn’t get to chat, don’t be a stranger! This season is shaping up to be something spectacular, and we’re just getting started.
Let’s talk food: I’m still dreaming of that panzanella salad and tiramisu. A comforting, delicious meal that matched the warmth of the room perfectly. We’re in for one unforgettable centennial season.
And speaking of unforgettable—Sue Buckton is officially back for another iconic Fashion Show on June 12. When she announced it, the cheer that erupted proved it: we simply couldn’t do the 100th without her.
🎉 Next up? The Member’s Gala on May 31st. What a party it will be—and as of today, there are fewer than 20 tickets left! Check out the menu and grab your seat here →
This is more than a season of golf. It’s a celebration of community, history, and the incredible women who show up, support each other, and look fabulous doing it.
Let’s make this our best year yet.
