Saugeen Golf Club
We are located between the tourist towns of Southampton and Port Elgin in Bruce County, Ontario, Canada, situated on beautiful Lake Huron. Our club was founded in 1925 and consists of 27 holes, split into three separate nine-hole courses known as Legacy, Sunrise and Sunset.

Brad Young
PGA of Canada Executive Professional
General Manager & COO
Brad is our General Manager and an Executive Professional with the PGA of Canada. He received his diploma in Professional Golf Management, Business Administration from Niagara College. Brad brings over 20 years of experience in the golf industry to the table including stops in his hometown of Marathon, Portage Golf Club, Caledon Country Club, Diamondback, and King’s Riding Golf Club.
Riley Schaus
PGA of Canada
Head Golf Professional
Riley Schaus is our Head Golf Professional here at Saugeen Golf Club. He has a diploma in Business Management from Keyano College and is currently working towards a PGA of Canada Class A designation. He has worked at Saugeen since 2020 and currently lives in Port Elgin.
When he is not at the course he enjoys working out, spending time at the beach with his wife Emma and their new baby, and spending time with friends.
Brennan Hagey
PGA of Canada
Assistant Golf Professional
Brennan Hagey has twenty years of coaching experience in a variety of sports, including holding coaching/instructor certifications in golf, skiing, snowboarding, trampoline, baseball and tennis. He spent 2 years on the Ontario board of the CSIA and was a board member of the CICE program at Conestoga College.
His true passion lies in the grass roots levels of sport engagement, creating first timers into long term athletes or sport enthusiasts.
Brennan spends his free time exploring Bruce County with his family, Victoria and Tatum.
Jack Middleton
PGA of Canada
Apprentice Professional
Jack Middleton began his journey in golf at Saugeen Golf Club, working in the back shop from 2015 to 2021. He now returns to Saugeen as Assistant Golf Pro after graduating from George Brown College with a Business Diploma, bringing with him over 10 years of experience in the golf industry.
An avid golfer for the past 15 years, Jack is currently working toward obtaining his professional designation.
A lifelong resident of Port Elgin, Jack remains actively involved in the local sports community, with a passion for baseball, curling, and sports broadcasting.
Jordan Barber
Superintendent
Jordan is a graduate of the Turfgrass Management Program at the University of Guelph and brings over a decade of experience in golf course maintenance and conditioning. Originally from Mount Forest, he has worked at several highly regarded clubs, including roles in the U.S. and most recently serving as Assistant Superintendent at Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora for 12 years.
A former golf scholarship athlete at Adrian College, Jordan combines a lifelong passion for the game with strong technical expertise in turf management. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, and spending time with family and friends.
Margaux Bucher
Marketing & Membership Manager
Margaux keeps the Saugeen Golf Club community connected through engaging content and thoughtful communication. With a background in digital marketing and communications—and a passion for golf and art—she brings a strategic and creative touch to everything from social media to event promotions. Whether highlighting what makes SGC special or keeping members informed, she loves sharing the stories that make the club feel like home.
Amy Amyot
Financial Administrator
Born and raised in the Grey Bruce area, Amy has been immersed in business from a young age, working alongside her parents in their retail store while also managing their bookkeeping. Her passion for financial management led her to establish her own successful bookkeeping business, which she has operated for the past eight years, serving a variety of local businesses across different industries.
When she’s not keeping the numbers in check, Amy enjoys spending winters at the rink cheering on her kids in hockey and embracing a more relaxed pace during the summer months. She looks forward to getting to know the staff and members at Saugeen Golf Club and contributing to the club’s continued success.
